Glenridding is really two neighbourhoods moving at two speeds. Glenridding Heights, underway since about 2012, is largely established — schools open next door, streets treed, resale beginning to circulate. Glenridding Ravine, which broke ground in 2018, is where the construction energy now sits, with laned homes, front-attached garages and townhome sites still coming to market. The insider angle is infrastructure: Edmonton Public Schools is building both a new K–6 school and a Grades 7–12 school for more than 2,400 students in Glenridding Heights, both expected to open in fall 2028.
Glenridding’s geography does quiet work for it. The neighbourhood steps down toward the ravine that gives Glenridding Ravine its name. Currents of Windermere, about 3 km to the north-west in a straight line, covers most errands. It is a neighbourhood built for the daily routine: school run, trail loop, errand circuit, home.
